SEPMW was the first manufacturer in China to develop and produce 2 foot long asbestos-free thermal insulation. Our factory has never produced Asbestos containing materials since our foundation.
SEPMW was the first special manufacturer in China to develop and produce 3 foot long asbestos-free Calcium Silicate thermal insulation products which meets all ASTM standards.
A Joint-Venture of SEPMW and US Company (IIG) to develop and produce calcium silicate thermal insulation for North American markets.
After the dissolution of the IIG Shanghai JV, BEC Industrial was formed and improved the old formula to produce 3 foot long asbestos-free Calcium Silicate that meets the China/American/European/Japanese standards.
The old IIG Shanghai factory was permanently closed with all production equipment scrapped and construction of a new factory in Jiangsu commenced.
The newest and most technologically advanced calcium silicate factory opened in Jiangsu province. The new factory was designed from the ground up to fully utilize the latest manufacturing technologies and production efficiencies. The factory includes a three-story finished goods storage warehouse to improve shipping lead times and customer service.
BEC Industrial (Shanghai) Co., Ltd, was formed to succeed the joint venture known as IIG Shanghai and originally the Shanghai Electric Power and Machine Works (SEPMW). This factory located in Shanghai was the first Chinese manufacturer of calcium silicate thermal insulation that meets ASTM C533 type I and produced to the dimensional tolerances of ASTM C585.
